Toyota Announces That It Knew Of Sticky Gas Pedals Before Recall
Toyota recalled approximately 2.3 million vehicles due to a sticky gas pedal and has just recently stated publicly that it knew about the problem a year earlier but did not think it warranted a recall. While Toyota claims the problems have not caused any injuries or deaths, ABC News reported that four deaths could be linked to the gas pedal defect. Currently, Toyota dealers have been advised to repair sticky gas pedals on a case-by-case basis.
